Multimedia Research and Presentation Project

Students will apply the research process to gather, sort, and organize information into cohesive projects, including written, visual, and presentation components.

Have a Socratic discussion about the issues/themes raised in this novel.

Students who participate in services designed for gifted students will demonstrate skills in self-directed learning, thinking, research, and communication as evidenced by the development of innovative products and performances that reflect individuality and creativity and are advanced in relation to students of similar age, experience, or environment. High school graduates who have participated in services for gifted students will have produced products and performances of professional quality as part of their program services.

Course Description: This study of literature introduces students to the study of short stories, nonfiction, poetry, and the novel. Students will develop writing skills through persuasive and creative writing. TAKS objectives are included in all units of study.

This course is designed to prepare the student to master the TAKS exam.
